I haven't been working on my gourds or blogging the last week or so because my lemphedema in my arm has been giving me trouble. Sitting and doing nothing is something I'm not very good at!
So tonight I decided to work on a piece for the PFATT Marketplace.
I went to the dungeon and decided what I wanted to do and then it hit me......I was out of CLAY (Apoxie Sculpt)! What was I doing to do?! I did have some Creative Paper Clay, but it has been years since I have used it. I had bought some a few months ago so now was as good a time as any to use it.
It wasn't too bad, but I diffidently prefer the Apoxie. I just hope it stays on the gourd as I forgot to wet the gourd before applying the clay. Oh well time will tell.
I will most likely wake up in the morning with this pumpkin's face laying on the table!
Here is the Paper Clay work in progress.

Oooooh, I like that! Hope you're feeling better soon. Did you pick a name yet for that cute little raccoon? Smiles, Paulette :o)
Wow the gourd face looks nice...hope it will stick to the gourd!
Hope you are feeling better soon!
I hope you feel better, I know what you mean by not being able to do much. It happens to me as well sometimes :(
I've used that type of clay before on my canvas when I did my oil paintings, but now that I think about it I glued the clay onto the canvas before it dried. I also use DAS paperclay sometimes too. Hummm....let us know how it goes.
The gourd is looking fantastic so far :)
Hugs...
Hi Linda,
I sure hope you get to feeling better very soon!
Ahhh paper clay, one of my old time faves. However, since you introduced me to that Apoxie sculpt I have really had a hard time putting it down. it has become one of my new found faves.
I always enjoy seeing your work, to me it is magical at every stage of it's creation :)
Take care,
~Diane
