Wip-Day 2

This is how my Wip progressed Sunday. First the piece has to have some weight to the base so I did a mosaic with beach glass. Did not turn out the way I had it envisioned.

He had to have a hat, so out came the papier mache. I always have to have other pieces to mache, so I decided on these little....possibly ornaments?

I'm not too sure, but this is not turning out at all how I planned!
The papier mache hat has to dry so I will work on the smaller gourds today.
Thanks for all your fun comments!

The process is half of the fun! Can't wait to see it finished!

I can't wait to see it finished :) None of my projects come out as exactly planned either, so I'm sure yours will still be amazing!

I have to admit, I love projects that take a left turn from their planned design early on; that is when I feel like I'm not so much making the project into something preordained and rather playing with the project. And it happens to me ... a lot!

I'm excited to see where this project goes. The mosaic base is too cool. LOVE the spirited hats on the little gourdettes!

The fun and excitement of creating is having "that pic in your mind's eye" do a fade out and become something else entirely.

hmmmmm....I see a hee haw horse head at the moment with this piece. LOL...looking forward to seeing your next steps.
